WORLD WATER DAY / INTERNATIONAL WATER DAY
Every year on 22nd of March, World Water Day or International Water Day is celebrated all over the world. First time International Water Day was celebrated in 1993 after the United Nations Conference in Rio De Janeiro on Environment and Developement in 1992 where it was resolve that 22nd March of every year is dedicated to Water.
Sustainable Developement, Preciousness or importance of water and making clean drinking water available to everyone and to sustain this water for future generation is the main reason for celebraton of International Water Day.
Like every where in the world, in Ladakh also Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh celebrates World Water Day / International Water Day at its Office.
INTERNATIONAL FOREST DAY or WORLD FOREST DAY 21st March
Every year 21st of March is celebrated at International Forest Day or World Forest Day since 2012 by resolution of United Nations General Assembly. This is specially celebrated to dedicating a day in a year for education and awareness propagation of importance of Green Earth or Forests for the sustainance of the earth on a long term.
Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh is also celebrating World Forest Day / International Forest Day every year with field trips to different wetlands, marshes and river banks with schoold students, youths of ladakh, widlife lovers and green volunteers of Ladakh. WCBCL, Leh also visit schools and institutions on such day to celebrate the importance of green day and to work together with future generations. Go Green, Go Organic by His Holiness Chetsang Rinpochey is poineering a green poject in Ladakh which is support by many in Ladakh, including the WCBCL, Leh Ladakh.
World Wildlife Day 2022
World Wildlife Day will be celebrated in 2022 under the theme "as suggested by UN" which aligns with goal 14 of UN Sustainable Development Goals.year Wildlife Lovers and Oganzations all over the world celebrate Wildife Day / World Wildlife Day / WWD.
Ladakh being situated in the Himalaya with little aquatic life, we will continue celebrating the World Wildlife Day by organizing Wildlife Field Trips to young wildlife enthusists and young birders.

5th Photo Exhibition of Birds and Mammals of Ladakh shall be organized by WCBCL in collaboration with LAHDC, UT Ladakh, Leh as part of Ladakh Festival organized by Department of Tourism Department, UT Leh.

World Environment Day is celeberated every year on the 5th of June all over the world. First held in 1974, WED has been a flagship campaign for green earth and sustainable earth day celebration. India is host of World Environment Day (WED) celebration day on 5th June. The theme of this year's celebration is " Beat Plastic Pollution".
WCBCL, Leh also celebrates World Environment Day 2019 at its Camp Office. All the members present pledged to Beat Plastic Pollution by not using plastic bags in the future.

WORD SPARROW DAY 20th March 2021
World Sparrow Day (WSD) 2021
On the 20th of March every year since 2009, Wildlife Conservationists and Bird Lovers all over the world celebrate Word Sparrow Day. Like every responsible conservation organizations all over the world, Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh - a Non Profit Wildlife Organization is also celebrating this day to coserve the sparrows of the world.
WCBCL, Leh, UT Ladakh had been spearheading such activities like celebration of sparrow day since its inception.
In 2021 WCBCL Leh celebrated World Sparrow Day by organizing an awaress program at Lamdon Model Senior Higher Secondary School Leh. The program was organized with the support and collaboration of All Ladakh Tour Operators Association (ALTOA) & Lamdon School. More than 300 students of Lamdon School participated in the World Sparrow Day 2021.
The World Sparrow Day 2021 celebrated at Leh, UT Ladakh included programs as bellow:
1. Essay Writting Competion among students of Lamdon School and other youths
2. Painting Competion among students and other youths
3. Awareness campaign among youths about Sparrow Conservation
The theme of the World Sparrow Day was 'I LOVE SPARROW'
The winners of the Sparrow Day Painting and Essay Competition were awared with WCBCL carry bag (to reduce plastic use) and Sparrow Nests.
Dr. Stanzin Dawa, Principal of Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School was Chief Guest on the occassion.
Mr. Tsetan Angchuk, President, ALTOA and Ms. Ishey Yangzom were Guests of Honors onf the occassion.

Ladakh Bird Exodus Week will be celebrated every year in the fist week of October.
Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh initiated this Celebration to bring awareness about Birds of Ladakh among the youth of Ladakh.
Students from various College, schools and institutions and youths are invited to participate in the Ladakh Bird Exodus Week celebration, where a field trip to Tsokar and Tsomoriri Lake region of ladakh is being organised where thousands of birds thronged the lakes getting ready for the exodus spectacle each fall at this time of the year.
Like every where in other regions of India and abroad, bird lovers and wildlife conservationists in Ladakh lead by Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh is celebrating Ladakh Bird Festival starting from 2018.
First year of its celebration this year, WCBCL, Leh is celebration Ladakh Birds Festival from 20th till the 25th of Sept 2018 in collaboration with the Ladakh Festival.
Birders and Wildlife enthusiasts from different parts of the country and abroad are invited to attend the LADAKH BIRDS FESTIVAL which shall continue to be an annual feature celebration from this year onwards. Wildlife lovers and Birders from Ladakh, Indian and abroad relays in finding different number of species of birds during the Ladakh Birds Festival period and winners of the Ladakh Birds Festival will be chosen for recording the highest number of birds in the short spane of time.
Citations shall be presented to different categories of winners chosen by our judges of Ladakh Birds Festival.
Local Government - Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh shall be partnering the Ladakh Birds Festival.
